On Saturday, August 30, 2025, we set out to explore the heathlands. They should already be in full bloom. So, I loaded the bike onto our car and set off. We decided to go to the Gooi region. A cycling route from Naarden via Huizen/Laren/Bussum and back to Naarden. A short route of about 30 kilometers, but a lovely one indeed, taking us through the heathlands. Along the way, we spotted a few Scottish Highlanders. So we took a picture of them too. After all, they're so close by.
