Of course, we know Joe Cocker's songs inside and out. We saw Joe live years ago at the Ahoy in Rotterdam.
But according to the reviews, this band, led by Phil Bee, should be closer to reality. Well, not selling nonsense, of course.
It quickly becomes clear that it's more than just a tribute. The Phil Bee Cocker Band is out of this world. As Phil himself said:
"We're not trying to imitate Joe, that's not possible, but we're trying to honor the man." The performance is an ode to Joe. We had a brilliant evening.
